The Universe Definitely Has A Sense Of Humor

Clay Pigeon:  Found in the woods near Hanover, NH.

Sometimes the irony of insight comes to us when we're present to receive it, a gentle reminder that we trudge together. This skeet pigeon appeared in a clearing in the woods, (an old range no doubt), when I was walking in-step with another like-spirited traveler. Its appearance spurred thoughts of adages that serve me well such as, "When the banana gets away from the bunch, it gets skinned. You can't fall off the edge, when you're in the middle. Stay in the middle of the herd and you won't get picked off. " And, "We can do what I cannot."
